Women's High Wine with Van Lanschot Kempen Quant Team

Come meet our QED team at this high wine tasting! If you're an econometrics student exploring the finance world, the Quant Efficiency & Data (QED) team might be what you are looking for. We offer a unique combination of coding, mathematics and finance, providing a stimulating environment where theory meets real-world application.

Van Lanschot Kempen is an independent, specialized wealth manager, active in private banking, investment banking and investment management. Founded in 1737, we are the oldest independent financial institution in the Netherlands. Every day, we work to preserve and build wealth in a sustainable way, both for our clients and for the society we are part of.

Van Lanschot Kempen has a unique position in the financial sector. Small and agile, with clear niches. Our ambition is to become the best wealth manager in Western Europe by focusing on growth while maintaining a capital light balance sheet. Sustainability plays a major role in this ambition. Not only from a sense of responsibility but also because we see it as an opportunity to make a positive impact for our clients and for society. Entrepreneurially sustainable, we call it.

Our QED team is diverse, with everyone bringing strong technical skills to the table. We are responsible for pricing models and risk management systems for (exotic) derivatives, and financial applications like portfolio optimizers, capital calculators and other data-driven decision making tools. Within the quant team we share the responsibilities equally, encouraging everyone to truly make an impact.

What sets us apart is our hands-on approach to coding. We're not just writing lines of code; we build the foundation of our quantitative solutions from the ground up. This involves creating the database structure, a (minimal) frontend for the user and all the intermediate code. To top it off, we are located in the dealing room, right in the middle of the action!

So if you're up for a challenge and want to be part of shaping the future of finance, come join us at QED!

Subscriptions are open until 12 May.

The event is open to female students from Bachelor 2 or higher and the selection is done by Van Lanschot Kempen based on CV.
